Viable Solutions is built on nearly four decades of international project experience, bringing together technical, commercial, contractual, and leadership expertise.
With almost four decades of international experience in complex energy and infrastructure projects, Rudolf Heimerl has built his career from the field upwards – from commissioning and project execution to project development, global tendering, contract negotiations, risk management, and international leadership responsibilities.
His professional perspective is reinforced by an interdisciplinary academic background as an Electrical Engineer, complemented by an MBA in Sustainability Management and an LL.M. in International Business Law. This combination enables him to understand projects not only within individual disciplines, but, more importantly, at the interfaces where engineering, commercial, and contractual decisions interact.
Having worked across Asia, the Americas, Europe, Russia, and the CIS, Rudolf brings first-hand insight into the realities of complex international projects.
His experience ranges from field assignments and commissioning to major EPC tenders, organisational development, and strategic decision-making at regional and global levels.
Today, he works alongside clients to navigate complexity, anticipate risk, and resolve challenges across disciplines, organisations, and contractual responsibilities. His approach is pragmatic, collaborative, and firmly grounded in the realities of project execution.
Beyond his project career, Rudolf contributes to UNECE working groups and is listed on the UNECE PPP Expert Roster. As an Accredited Mediator trained by the London School of Mediation, he also brings structured negotiation and conflict-resolution skills to demanding multi-party project environments.
